The exponential growth of cities in recent years is a fact. Today, more than 4 billion inhabitants worldwide (more than 50% of the world population) live in cities. The attempt aiming at an organized and sustainable growth – despite the fact that many times the reason for development is not the need for housing – not only directly affects the landscape (causing a loss and fragmentation of the inhabitant), the development of invasive species, the displacement of native species, light and noise pollution, and climate change. This growth is nothing else but a reflection of an attitude. A way of being within the community. In the face of a problem that we believe does not directly affect us, we spread the responsibility for action while waiting for someone to rescue Kitty Genovese. Owing to fear, lack of resources, selfishness, or ignorance. A parasite that is expanding at a hardly sustainable pace with an increasingly firm intention to develop empathy towards its host. We move as a multi-headed mass, consuming all the resources at our disposal disregarding the community and the future. Acting as the worst parasite that will hit the host until he or she is killed or weakened so much without realising that his or her survival is at its mercy.

Bearing in mind it is already an arduous task to manage the movement of a single being, when we speak of millions of thinking beings in different directions; this is presented as an impossible job.
We have become an amoeba that makes sick what it covers. This project is not entirely about the city itself, but about how the city represents civilization; about the earth being attacked slightly unconsciously by a pathogen. About the disproportionate growth of a being that is not intelligence enough to know when to stop.
